It’s almost a new year, a time for evaluating the old and making plans for the new. For many people, this may mean contemplating the sale and/or purchase of a home. What can you look for in the coming months? Read on to find out, and learn how you can make the market work for you.

One-Level Homes

The data already shows that buyers in the Upper Cumberland are showing a high interest in purchasing one-level homes. This has been seen through 2017, and will most likely continue into 2018.

One of the many reasons buyers pick the Upper Cumberland area to call home is the availability of land in the area for a reasonable price. With the new year coming up, acreage and farming estates will generate interest in out-of-state buyers looking to migrate to the region.

Nashville Market Growth

According to and the PwC Emerging Trends in Real Estate 2018 report, the housing market in Nashville will be one of the ones to watch as we move into next year. With a lower cost of living and thus a high quality of life for less money, the South continues to be attractive to businesses looking to relocate and bring employees with them.

What this means for sellers:’s 2018 report makes predictions of “Southern homes selling like crazy,” so now is absolutely the time to get your home market-ready!

What this means for buyers: Now is your chance to get in on the growth before available homes run out. The Nashville area—including the Upper Cumberland—is a growing community, particularly with younger buyers, according to the Emerging Trends report. If you are considering a relocation, make your move sooner rather than later!
